I am trying to find a place where my dog and I can go for about 2 weeks in June. My dog is a yellow lab and I am possibly changing my outing to the Sandhills instead of going to Oregon this year. I would like to know prices and areas where we could stay. I am not very good looking up places on the computer. If you could send me information it would be deeply appreciated.
The Sandhills Journey Scenic Byway is 272 miles in central Nebraska between Grand Island in the east and Alliance in the west. Are you thinking of camping? Nebraska National Forest near Halsey has campgrounds and hiking trails. (https://www.fs.usda.gov/nebraska) Or Victoria Springs near Anselmo… (http://outdoornebraska.gov/victoriasprings/) If you are looking for boarding locations, KoKo’s Palace for Pampered Pets in Mullen has boarding facilities (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Kokos-Palace-for-Pampered-Pets/1520544994868784) There are also numerous guest ranches and motels that allow pets, so it would depend on what you are interested in. Let us know if you need specific information.
